Charles Yichu Wang

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at Nottingham University Business School, as well as an entrepreneur and a venture capitalist over the last ten years. Born in a musician family, I am also a professional composer, pianist and conductor with special focus on classical music and choir music.

I study corporate finance, innovation and creativity, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, real estate and China economy. My research works are published on reputable journals including Management Science and Review of Corporate Finance Studies. I also serve as an ad hoc referee for leading journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance and Journal of Banking and Finance.

I obtained my PhD from PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University. Before that I graduated from Peking University and Fudan University.

PhD positions: Students interested in research on all fields of empirical finance are welcome to contact and apply, regardless of your background. Those with strong academic passion, good communication skills and fluent English are preferred.
